“All that stuff that we had hoped for and wanted, all of a sudden was there.”

A very special halftime at Friday’s Traverse City Central versus West basketball game, presenting the funds raised at last year’s Patriot game.

The nonprofit 22 2 None is dedicated to reducing the number of veteran suicides, and was chosen to receive the $13,000 raised at the most recent Traverse City Patriot game.

Members of both schools’ student councils presented the check to the group during halftime at the game.

22 2 None representatives say it’s inspiring to see the entire community come together to support veterans and the money will go a long way toward their mission.

“We just, we didn’t know how we were ever gonna get that start up capital. And then the Patriot Game showed up so now $13,000, that’s definitely enough to get us going,” says cofounder of 22 2 None Dave Wenkel.
